In these small 2A programs it’s paramount to have numbers though! A team can win a lot of games just for these reasons. Seen it happen many times. To Shiner in a few really big games too! So pushing kids out cause they aren’t gonna be a star is silly for small schools! And kids backing out cause they aren’t gonna win like the year before is sad too… but I too get it if it comes to them having a future in a different sport.

Especially in 2a and even 3a you can easily play special teams and not be a starter. If we stay relatively healthy we will be pretty good. That Shiner scrimmage ought to tell a lot. It won't be an 8-2 Ganado td difference this year or whatever that was.
