Shiner 41 Ganado 23 final

I wasn’t at the game. Sure wish I could’ve been. And I just refuse to pay for NFHS Network. Had too many bad experiences. Most recently last week. Which is why I won’t renew it for another month.

Bottom line is Shiner's line worked us over. They were able to get 3-5 yards on nearly every down. We weren't able to run with much consistency.

Someone I know used to say, it all starts on the line. That was very obvious tonight. The line of scrimmage was completely won by Shiner.

Shiner loses quite a bit of skill position and seniors. Lucky for them nearly all their linemen return which is scary. They were all sophomores and juniors and totally dominated the line of scrimmage both sides of the ball.

Oh yes, I’ve been watching. And I knew the line grew up a lot since last year! Trust me when I say this, there are plenty of skill kids coming up behind the seniors you see now. The Junior class is the talented group we were all raving about a few years ago. The freshmen class has some studs. Some are on varsity already! The rest are on that JV which did well Thursday night. Then the current 8th grade is super talented like the junior class! Maybe even more so from what I keep hearing. All the classes in between feature good lineman and some good skill guys too! The QB is a sophomore. Imagine if Williams didn’t go to Cuero! He is tearing it up over there right now! Just so exciting to be a Comanche fan lol!

8th grade class is amazing for Shiner. Yes imagine if Williams stayed Shiner really would be a hands down favorite to win the title by multiple tds.
