Piper wrote: Sat Oct 03, 2020 12:26 am It lived up to its billing, Windthorst had an excellent game plan and ate up tons of clock between the 20’s. Clean low penalty game. First half went super fast. Hamlins Defense was just too stifling in the red zone. Windthorsts defense was impressive. Hamlin was conservative and Windthorst took advantage of that. Belcher bro’s are awesome 39 is one tuff dude.
The score definitely shows it was a tough hard fought game between two top notch teams.

Very impressive game... I watched it all via the Facebook broadcast... Both sides played well and Windthorst just kept fighting... I truly enjoyed the game... My thanks to the guys in Windthorst that broadcast the game, great job....

Conservative? What would you have done differently? It comes down to execution. We had a busted coverage and should have been 7 but the pass was overthrown. Every down is an opportunity to make a play on either side of the ball. Hamlin rushed for 101 yards on 27 carries (avg 3.7), but you take away the 60 yard TD and the 4-yard loss where the QB dropped the ball on the scramble right before halftime, only mustered 45 yards on 28 carries 1.8 yards a carry. Even if you take the sack for a loss of 10 away that's 55 yards on 24 carries, 2.3 a carry. Was is conservative or just tough sledding and it's been a long time since anyone has shut down your run game as we did?

Belcher's are cousins!!

I did not notice being conservative. I saw a defensive line Hamlin could not block consistently. But yes it was a very good game. Physical!

Well when we are geared for down field passes and we only throw 3 times over 15-20 yards down field and only connect on one. I’d call it what it was. But yes tough sledding for our run game Windthorst shut it down. Very good D-Line play Hence the credit Windthorsts defense and game plan? Cousins are good!

We gave up 1 sack. Windthorst line and backers created trouble for our run game. I mean you want me to tell you we had our best game and executed like we could have? Hats off to Windthorsts defense. But on the flip side y’all act like your offense shut itself down inside the 20’s. Credit were credit is due.

#2 vs #4 and you play conservative. Whats the difference in a team you going to beat 50 to 0 try managing the clock. They can't do it. Yall was picked by 20 plus i think. That was just a great game. Alot of good teams up there in div 2.

That's not coming from us. That's from people that watched the game. Just my opinion but you give 39 a few more carries inside the 20, think he only had 3 carries.

Sepeda is a heck of a football player, made a ton of plays on the defensive side of the ball.

Agree 39 keep pounding inside the 20.
