Refugio was up 2 scores with 14 minutes left and their annoucners kept talking about Jerry's World. Ouch. Also number 3 was jawing with Joaquin a lot and he was the one to touch onside kick that started the landslide.

I have a lot of respect for Refugio but it sounds like they may have got humbled last night.
I never thought that Joaquin would be playing Hamilton in state but that’s why they play the game. Both coaching staffs deserve credit for putting together a great game plan. I firmly believe that players win games and coaches lose them.
Good luck to our neighbors in Hamilton. I’ve always said that they have good athletes over there and that all they needed was some good coaching.

Joaquin vs Hamilton wasn't on anyone's Texas HS Football Christmas Bingo card.

No it wasn't. I don't think anyone had them in the top 10 at any point this year. Joaquin will be in the top to next year. A semifinal appearance and a title appearance in back to back years.

Joaquin will cause issues. Big 71 is a junior and Bragg is a junior also. At least 6 foot 5 TE 87 is a senior. They'll be top 5.

Watching that unfold was pitiful. Great news for Hamilton though!

Thebluebomber was the only one who picked both of them.

Joaquin was ranked 10 and Hamilton 13 by the DCTF magazine to start the season. Both were semi-finalists last year.
