I think Goldthwaite is. I expect Crawford to be better as they were young last year.
I agree. The report I got this morning.
Eagles Finish Strong in opening Scrimmage against Crawford. Varsity Scored 2 TDs to Crawford 1, and Jv outscored Crawford 4 TDs to their 1.
Note: One of our best Sr. running backs is playing on the JV as punishment for quitting the team last year due to personal reasons.
Hopefully he gets moved back to varsity where he should be.
Granger Lions varsity shut out 3A D2 Thrall Tigers 5 TDs to 0 in the overall scrimmage. 2-0 during the set plays segment and 3-0 in the live 12 min qtr. JV tied 2-2. looking strong!
Lindsay Knights looked good against Valley View. Good rushing and passing numbers, but still much work to do in certain areas. It will be tough competing with Muenster and Collinsville in one of the toughest districts in 2a Div II. Scrimmage, this Thursday, against a top 10, Windthorst team could be very revealing. They won over Lindsay in the playoffs last year. Hopefully we’ll meet again further down the line. Good luck to Lindsay.
Muenster JV I believe 3-1 over WF City View & Muenster Varsity on top 37-13 in live half.
I hear Muenster Varsity 3-2 over Jacksboro last week in a half.
De Leon varsity beat Santo 1 touchdown to 0. It was a short scrimmage. De Leon’s defense was dominant again. Santo only crossed the 50 yard line once. The JV teams tied 2 touchdowns each.
Lindsay looked good against Windthorst, with the exception of some poor tackling on a good running back. They managed a 2-1 win in the scrimmage and 20-19 win in the live half. Windthorst has a great passing game and a strong running back #39. Region 2 is solid.
