Figured as much. Of course some could be going up as well.

I think the top number goes up substantially again. If the TEA enrollment reports are somewhat accurate seems to be more 2A schools with increased enrollment versus 3A schools with decreased enrollment that would put them in 2A. Not sure about 6man to 11man or 6 man enrollments wanting to play 11. Booker and Shamrock appear to be in that 1A classification. Haven’t checked others.

That would lead to some vast changes in the 2AD1 landscape. If the top number goes up. There’s other schools that are supposedly close. Poth comes to mind down this way, their numbers are in the 250s or 260s I’m hearing. Tidehaven is close too.

I mean, they just combine D1 and D2 and send 4 to the playoffs like they do now. It would certainly make it difficult for some smaller enrollment schools to make the playoffs like they currently are.

I just don’t see it! They use to catch flack when a Div II school win a state championship yet they had a larger enrollment than the Div I champion.

That's true. I just have heard that 4a is the real challenge for the UIL during realignment. I went looking at their maps of their districts and while it wouldn't be perfect doing that for them would solve a few of their problems expecially with west Texas and panhandle teams. So if they did do that they might do it for everyone. I had also thought about them having 5a teams move down or 3a move up and how that would affect us at 2a. Iv heard on other forms that they won't pull 5a teams down to make 4a work through.

I didn't know that so your probably right. That would be a problem if that happened and would undermine their stance on fairness.

Yeah, 4A has always been the most stretched out in terms of enrollment numbers.
