Postby panhandleborn » Thu Nov 17, 2011 12:29 pm

I have a 2000 Softail that has alot of performance extras and I have no problem with hills LOL I had a Vulcan when I was in the Navy and it was a pretty nice ride. I rode it from Norfolk, VA to Sweetwater texas and back one year in December and I loved it, but was crazy cold. Had to grab the pipes every half hour or so to keep the feeling in them LOL

Cold dosent bother me but wind does. So needless to say I didnt put near the miles on this year that I have in the past. Group of co-workers and i usually go on "man trips" up into the mountains twice a year. Fun going up but for somereason the ride back isnt near as fun. Might have something to do with our night life the previous night

I have a 1970 Honda trail 70 that my dad bought new for around 400.00. Seems like it ran faster when I weighed less.

It would be nice to get together a group and take a ride. Maybe we can eventually do a tour of area 1a schools. Hmm sounds like a plan.

When I was 14 that was th eway I got to town. At 15 I had moved up to a 100. About wore that thing out before I got my drivers license. Then a 360, 650, Yamaha 650 special, thought it wascool. Kawasaki 900, that would haul. Honda 1100 ACE with the big white wall tires. and 7 or 8 dirt bikes scattered in there. Since then I have decided a jeep better suits my personality after seperating a herd of sheep one night that occupied the road. But I still have the Honda 70.

1997 HD. Started out as a police bike but never was part of any force. Back then you had to order a police edition to get EFI. It's been changed a lot since new

I picked up this 2000 Dyna Wide Glide in May. I have rode bikes since I was 8 years old, but I have been with out one since 89. Now it's like being reunited with an old friend.

The latter I assure you.
DF, the bike is cheaper to take for a spin then the boat.....I assure you of that.
Actually I'm probably going to sell my old bass boat if anybody is interested.
