Shiner looked much much better overall. Offense kept the same personnel, but somehow didn’t even look like the same team! The Oline was much improved! Their technique and everything! And the offense was very balanced. 6 rushing TDs by 4 different players and a passing TD. Shiners offense was on point. And defensively, there were some changes made in the front 7 that made the world of difference. Gave some much needed speed up front and on the edges. Similar to what you seen the last few seasons from Shiner. 47-0 over Industrial was a pleasant surprise!

But they aren't very offensive right?

Hopefully they figure it out and start doing better.

Centerville made it interesting for about a half.

Bremond is absolutely destroying people but light schedule so far.

Joaquin had a meltdown.

Tenaha plays ugly football.

Granger really got robbed at the end of the Thorndale game. they clearly got in on the 2 point conversion that would have tied the game and sent it to a 3rd OT. I hate that for those kids. Granger is much better than I thought. Their main issue is that if #3 gets hurt their season is done. He is easily the best athlete in that district and carried the ball 41 times Friday night. It will be hard to keep him healthy for the entire season getting that many touches.

Holland looked pretty awful against Valley Mills. They started slow and pulled away in the 2nd quarter, but they didn't look as impressive as I thought they would. They still made a lot of mistakes like they did against Burton. If they do not clean up their play Granger may run away from them in a hurry this Friday.

Not sure what to think about Hearne. They are notoriously inconsistent. They are the team that can play a game like they did Friday and then next week beat that same Burton team by 21.

Marlin is what I thought they may be, average. They are still building a culture over there and are coming off several years of being a door mat. Last year was a miracle season. They will be good this year, but won't make noise in that region with Crawford healthy.

Shiner looks to be back in form. We will know more about Refugio this week playing a very good Edna Team.

Mart is the best team in 2A D2 and I do not think it is close this year. Their Oline and Dline is unreal.
