I hope you are all doing well. I had one of my pipe's bust in the garage. I live in a Houston suburb. Many in Ganado with no power, family all over without it in various parts of the state. Tough week. Y'all stay safe.

Yeah I had a pipe bust next to my well. My pops is my neighbor up the road. So I’m gonna hide out with him till this passes. Then fix my water lines

Sorry to hear that. Many people are going through the same thing. Luckily this happens every 30 years and not annually.

Everything still frozen here. 15 degrees right now. Got down to -6 Monday morning( the coldest I've ever seen) We got about a foot of snow Sunday and another 3-5 inches Tuesday. I put out about 2 weeks worth of hay on Friday and Saturday before this crap hit. The hay is just about gone that I put out. So far my water in the house is still good and electricity has only been off once for about an hour. (thanks JAC electric). My wood burning stove is cranking out heat and it's 64-66 inside. Stay warm everybody,

Since Monday you have only been out for an hour?!!! Not complaining as I told someone else who was a bit perturbed over someone not having to suffer the same as them who am I to get upset over someone else's blessing. I'm just thankful I wasn't in the boat of those in other areas that went without for 48-60+ hours. We were without power for at least 2-3 hours every day since Monday morning.

Just wonder what kind of financial impact this is going to have on businesses due to supply and demand cost. The company I work for in Wichita Falls was told we needed to provide Ercot with a letter of credit worth $3.2M due to our electricity cost above our contracted rate. Our typical cost is $800/day but for Saturday and Sunday it was $500K, Monday was $400K, Tuesday's $450K and Wednesday's they were expecting it to be higher....more benefit cuts coming to the employees...that how our company likes to get "their" money back...

It got down to 9 here Monday morning then to 8 on Tuesday morning. Both the coldest I’ve ever seen here too. That’s pretty darn cold for southeast Texas! Add in the natural humidity of this area... downright brutal! We saw about 5 inches of snow Sunday night/Monday morning too. Only the second time I’ve ever seen snow in my life here. And definitely the longest. We still have snow in places on the ground here. Plus been mostly below freezing since Friday. Only got to 33 for a bit yesterday.

We were blessed. Kept Thermostat on 65. Lost power once for 45 minutes in a rolling blackout. 2 sinks water lines froze but thawed quick with no damage. Now to wait and see about outside faucets... Should know today or at the latest tomorrow. Very Blessed.

I am hoping that our outside faucets are good to go. I remember back in 2004 on Christmas Eve in Ganado we got about 1 foot of snow. The thing is it was probably in the mid 20's and was already warming up the following day. All snow was gone by day 2.

We just had a neighbor shower here this morning and have offered others. Some people have showered at truck stops, hotels, or gone without for 5 days or so. Some of the stories of my family members, etc and the stuff they have endured makes you count your blessings.
