Johnson City looks tough too. Looks like y’all have 2 solid pitchers as well.

Also, those 2 teams haven’t been great historically. So I would pay closer attention to Shiners games against Weimar and Flatonia.

Yeah Jacobs/Slawinski have been pitching at a very high level so far, hopefully they can keep it up! They play Mason tomorrow and Tuesday for the district championship which should be their last true test until playoffs. Shiner looked impressive against Flatonia and Weimar too though. I know Flatonia has a A&M commit at pitcher and Shiner ran him out of their game. This Comanche team reminds me of the 10-11 J.C. team that won state with deep pitching, strong bats, strong fundamentals, and tons of playoff experience. Funny enough, the toughest team J.C. faced that year was Shiner in the region final. I'll be rooting for them come playoffs unless they end up playing J.C. of course haha

The J.C. game @ Mason for yesterday got cancelled for the second time due to rain. Today the Eagles play Mason @ home and the game @ Mason has been moved to Wednesday. J.C. hasn't played a game in 2 weeks due to weather cancellation, hopefully they won't be too rusty going into these games.

Eagles beat Mason 5-3. J.C. came out rusty allowing 3 runs off 4 hits and 2 errors in the first 2 innings. Jacobs started off shaky and allowed his first earned run of the season, but after Mason scored their 3rd run he settled down and struck out the next 13 batters he faced. Jacobs finished with 16K 1BB through 6 IP and also went 2-3 at the plate with a HR, double, and 2 RBI. Slawinksi came in and struck out the side in the 7th to end the game. As a team the Eagles threw 19K against the Punchers. It was nice to see J.C. face adversity and keep their cool. Tomorrow J.C. plays at Mason which should be another good one.

Deja vu as J.C. 12-6 (8-0) beats Mason 5 to 3 again to complete the sweep. Slawinski goes 6.1 innings with 13K 2BB 2ER and Jacobs comes in for the save in the 7th. The Punchers are tough and really pressured the Eagles the entire game, they will be a handful for whoever they end up facing in the playoffs. J.C. plays @ Junction Friday which could turn interesting since Jacobs and Slawinski will be out due to pitch count rest.

J.C. beat Junction 23-15 and man this was definitely the ugliest game by the Eagles so far. J.C. committed 9 fielding errors which led to 12 unearned runs and also allowed 12 hits and 6 walks. J.C. was losing 12-15 going into the top of the 7th and was saved by an 11 run inning. The drop off pitching wise when Jacobs and Slawinski aren't on the mound is massive and could be a big problem in the playoffs if J.C. is forced to go a 3rd game in a series. If there was one positive in this game it was definitely the bats; the Eagles had 20 hits with 2 HR and 5 doubles. Slawinski was the MVP of this game going 5-6 at the plate with 7 RBI, a grand slam, 2 doubles, and 2 singles. Next week the Eagles play Junction on Monday and then Center Point on Friday.
