Food for thought...
Collinsville 6 Tom Bean 2
Collinsville 6 Tom Bean 5
New Home 5 Tom Bean 1
New Home 5 Tom Bean 3

New Home's 5th trip to the State Tournament without a championship. Holliday has 12 trips without a title so New Home still has a ways to go to get that unfortunate record.

I prefer Stamford over New Home 13-6
Collinsville over Stamford 6-1, 6-1

Different divisions now so no more consolidated champions. I suppose we’ll have to let Maxpreps final rankings decide!
The problem with Stamford over New Home is New Home didn't pitch a "playoff" pitcher against Stamford. It was the only game the kid lost (3-1) but looking at their Gamechanger he didn't make an appearance in the playoffs. When you are playing tournaments and playing 5-6 games in a weekend or even 3 games backed up against District doubleheader on Monday as in the case of this Stamford-New Home game, a lot of times it's not about winning the game but getting kids at bats against playoff caliber pitching.

Our 1 and 2 did not lose a tournament game, but when we had to go to others to get us through games against playoff teams we didn't fare well. Ropes 3-19, Peaster 3-4, Gunter 2-8, Muenster 5-8, Axtell 0-8, Bosqueville 8-10, Lovelady 0-8. Most years I think if we can get to a Game 3 we will be ok, but this year I figured we needed to sweep to advance against a team of Collinsville caliber so when our #2 won in game 1, thought we were in pretty good shape!

But Collinsville and their speed puts a lot of pressure on defenses and when we made an error allowing the Collinsville an extra out, they made us pay and well the rest is history!

Good showing by 2A players at the THSBCA All Star game! Slawinski for J.C. made it on base on all three of his at bats including a single and a triple. Danbury's Fiala pitched two shutout innings and Flatonia's Targac pitched the final inning striking out 2 and allowing no runs.

Do y’all know if there is a website that keeps track of school records season by season? Or if there is a website that keeps track of coaches win/loss records?

I couldn’t find one either. Someone keeps track. Every year you hear about a coach somewhere crossing a milestone lol.

The Texas High School Baseball website resets their schedules every year, but they have history but must not publish it. They had Coach Boedeker with 467 wins to start the season. You might be able to go through Maxpreps year by year schedule, but that isn't always updated either.

I bet the wins reported on TXHighschoolbaseball.com are self reported by the coach.

I knew Coach Boedeker had to be up around 450+. He crossed 400 a few years back as they started a playoff run. Shiner hasn’t updated their schedule either. So I’m not sure what their exact record was this season. He is probably close to 500 now.

Shows 467 Wins before the season and if schedule is correct added 25 wins this season.
