Johnson City I would say could very well win it all.

While getting another title would be nice, I think there are still a few question marks that need to be addressed for that to become a reality. Also Region 4 is pretty stacked so getting out of the region will be a dog fight. Teams like Ganado, Flatonia(possibly), Danbury, Thorndale, Mason, Mumford, and Iola are all probably going D1 and each are capable of winning the region imo. It will be interesting to see what happens with the new D1/D2 playoff format!

I know the d1 d2 format will benefit Ganado softball. We are hoping to avoid Shiner and Weimar. Although we did beat Weimar 4-1 in Weimar last week. Softball.

Shiner baseball dropped a game to Schulenburg this past weekend… so I’m not sure they’re as tough as anticipated this season. Gonna be interesting to see who makes playoffs in that district.

Same with J.C. softball. Their only loss is to a good 5A El Paso El Dorado team 3 to 0 and they run ruled Blanco the 8th ranked 3A team 15 to 4. It seems like there is a good chance we get J.C./Ganado playoff matchups in baseball and softball. Should be some good games if they end up happening!

I was looking at Shiners stats on Maxpreps yesterday and I noticed Pohler and Schuette haven't pitched this season. I know they are both two of their top guys on the mound, hopefully they aren't injured!

Shiner softball and JC baseball are picks to win state imho. Whichever division they go to. It would be nice to play Johnson City in both sports. I didn't realize y'alls softball was so good.

Yeah they might be better than our baseball team lol. Shiner is my pick in softball too, I don't see anyone in D2 challenging them.

J.C. run rules Goldthwaite 11-1 in 5 innings tonight. The Eagles hit 3 homers in this one! Slawinski hit his 7th and Lorenzen hit his first 2 of the season. Friday the Eagles head to Mason to play a tough Puncher team that beat them last season. Should be a good one!
