Re: Baseball 2025
I'm honestly surprised how low Flatonia, Ganado, and Shiner are ranked. That is going to be one tough district!

Yeah me too, Shiner just reloaded with some very talented freshmen too. Not sure how much difference they’ll make this season. But if football season showed me anything, I’m willing to bet they do. Many of those same talented freshmen that helped lead them to the state finals in football are just as good or even better baseball players from what I’m being told. Plus throw in the split divisions now.

Yeah I think their district will probably be one of the toughest in the state and all the teams will be battle tested going into the playoffs. I have no doubt they will prove this poll wrong.Comanchealumni06 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 10:49 pmYeah me too, Shiner just reloaded with some very talented freshmen too. J.C. is going to be solid. 10 starters back with some talented incoming freshmen. Slawinski is one of the top ranked pitchers in the state and nation per most recruiting services and behind him pitching depth should be deeper than last season. If the bats show improvement watch out. Should be a fun season!

Shiner will have a lot more depth in the rotation as well. Be a fun one. But I actually don’t think Shiner and JC will even be a possible matchup this season. Shiner will almost assuredly go D2 in the bracket as long as they make the playoffs.Jon91 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 9:51 am J.C. is going to be solid. 10 starters back with some talented incoming freshmen. Yeah it's a shame we likely won't be getting that matchup. Shiner will definitely be a force in D2 though, I can definitely see them making a deep run and beyond!Comanchealumni06 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 11:56 amShiner will have a lot more depth in the rotation as well. I agree. I was thinking Flatonia should be top 10. They all 3 seem to be ranked to low but I guess we'll find out what's what soon enough. Can't wait for baseball. Basketball is all fine but baseball I prefer more.

Re: Baseball 2025
Ganado didn't have our QB Bryce Ullman pitching from mid district through the playoffs and he's our best pitcher. Hopefully his arm and elbow hold up so we can have a healthy pitching staff. Next year they'll drop off a decent amount but I expect another good season this year.
