Those are not Harris' stats. He had 173 carries, 1709 yards, and 22 Tds. Whole team had less than 300 yds receiving.

Awesome job guys! Both successful young men. Oh ahannon your stats for Devan Harris are pretty much on point! Hornet fan the stats for max preps are wrong for Devan Harris! His game page was updated but the stats and tds haven't been updated in 3 games according to it! They are updated on the Texas runningbacks..

Maxpreps has stats for Harris for all 11 games this year. He is the only player whose stats were posted for the last 2 games of the season.

Congratulations to Terry Gilbreath a well deserved honor. This type of performance helped Wellington earn their first state title, as well as the most dominating team in 1A this year.

Terry And Devan are probably going to be asked to be slot receivers! That would suit them perfectly. Both outstanding athletes on the field and in the classroom. I hope they have a great college experience , it sure does go by fast! UNT as well as other numerous colleges talked To Devan about running back and slot receiver. Hope they choose the Best offers! Can't wait to hear about them in the Future.

I think Gilbreath could definitely play slot receiver at a small D1 school, maybe be as a return specialist also. Somewhere like UTEP, don't know their offense though.

Congrats to Terry, he plays with a LOT of heart and can dominate a game. Also want to congratulate all the nominees, they must have all had a great year or they wouldn't have made the list to begin with.

Congratulations, #13 and to the Boles player, Devan Harris. Don't know anything about Mr. Harris, but #13 is a great player, no doubt. He cleaned our clock pretty well at the state game. Good luck to both of these young men. Congratulations to all of the other nominees, too!!!! Y'all make it all possible every season!!!!

I just realized tonight that Abilene Christian, Houston Baptist, and Incarnate Word have joined Sam Houston State and Stephen F. Austin in the Southland Conference ( Division 1 FCS, formerly D1-AA) and will be playing full conference schedules in 2014. Also, UTSA also recently established a football program, but are playing in the FBS(D1-A). That makes another 4 D1 Football schools in Texas that will each be able to carry 85 scholarship players. FCS schools can only carry the equalivent of 65 full scholarships though.
