This park is located down in the Rio Grande Valley. And is a premier international bird watching location. As are all the parks I’m soon to mention. It’s a day use only park. They don’t have campsites. So if you’re planning to visit this one, I would grab a nearby hotel. There’s 3 parks down in this region none of which have much for camping available. So grab a hotel, and go visit each one over a long weekend! Jump over the border to Progreso while you’re at it! That’s what we did over Mothers Day Weekend in 2023 lol!
