Colorado/Wyoming

Post by ganadofan1 »

We are going early June for 7 days.

Back in the early 70s my mom's 1st job out of high school was Estes Park in Colorado. She grew up in Tulsa.

I've been to Colorado once in 1999 when I was 10. I'm looking forward to visiting several parks. Also going to spend a day in Cheyenne/Laramie.

My wife had a classmate that was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. We spent a weekend in Estes Park. Unfortunately back in those days there was no GPS on our phones and I didn't pay attention that Hwy 34 was closed from like Oct to May in my road atlas so when I took the west road north there was no way to cut across to Estes Park so we lost a day driving as when we got to Granby, CO. my wife did not want to double back to Boulder so we headed further north! Just another story in our crazy adventures!!!

I appreciate it. Thank you. I am a teacher. One of my coworkers is taking a job in Colorado Springs as her fiancé is at Fort Carson. She's moving there this summer.

Back in 1999 Pikes Peak was closed but that's not a surprise as it was Winter.
