Anything new on the job search details? Even though you would believe they might be waiting for the high school playoffs to be finished they would likely already have a timeline planned out. Anybody heard anything? I’m curious what type of person they’re looking for to lead the Indians...

Ganado has had 90 applicants before it was officially opened. One is a prominent DC from a school in the Victoria area that made it 3+ rounds in the playoffs.

They are expecting many more applicants to roll in here and have a coach hired shortly into January. They don't anticipate the move up to 3a affecting the number of applicants because we were already playing Shiner, Refugio, Weimar, and Yorktown

Heard there were a few good coordinators that are on the table for the tribe to sort through!!! A couple of the coordinators have put some small and big school programs on the map. Heard one has helped put programs in the playoffs everywhere he has been. I could see them drawing at least 100 plus on the applications.

There's always going to be a lot of applicants for head jobs. Every Joe, Bill and Hector will apply for it so the numbers don't surprise me. Now the real question is how many "good applicants" have applied for the job? I bet there are some decent guys who have put in but do not expect Bum Philips to put in for this job. All I know is if they want to do it right and give this guy a chance they better get a move on it ....

Any coach that goes there will hqve a challenge. Athletes are just not there like they used to be. And now with the move up future looks not so promising. Heard the band is getting good tho.

That is exactly what I am hearing. He will be one of the finalists if I had to guess.

Band numbers are up and football numbers are down. We will have 1 more year of not being good. I expect things to turn around in 2019. Moving up won't hurt us like people think. There isn't much of difference between Shiner and Refugio and East Bernard and Tidehaven.

I think the move up will hurt the other sports, volleyball, track, basketball, etc but not so much football.

The Grand Ole Duke of York, he had 10,000 men. He marched them up the hill and marched them down again...And when you are up, you're up and when you're down, you're down. But you are only halfway up your neither up nor down...

Oh, a-hunting we will go,
A-hunting we will go,
We'll catch a fox, and put him in a box,
And then we'll let him go.

Out of respect I hope they would interview Lesak. If he doesn't get the job I am hoping he can stay on as OC or DC. He is a good coach.

It's hard to get everyone at the barbershop at the same time to vote on who the next Chief is doing to be.

with those three, the final pick will see their reflection in the waters of Lake Texana....just don't look too close or a gator will snip at your nose!
