Although WS always plays us tough so you never know, they might make a game of it. I hope they do so we can play a full 4 quarter game. I think Timpson and Grapeland can make it into good games with us so at least we can get pushed to play strong 4 quarters. We've developed a power run game and filled the holes on defense. Now my only concern is staying focused, staying intense and keeping conditioned. In the final game last year we looked gassed in the 4th quarter but we didn't have to play hard for 4 quarters after Joaquin last year. Lets git it Tigers.

Short drive for me this week from Plum Ridge, on Sam Rayburn, to Pineland. Put #60 thru two-a-days bass fishing over the weekend. He's pumped and focused on winning football games. A great kid. If you come on your bike, love bugs are gone but the gnats worse. Bring bug repellent.

Teneha playing tough but definately over ranked i believe. Cant see them matching up with mart or mason or refugio or actually muenster or albany. At this point #6 in state and actually watch out for Bremond.

I think the danger is they where minus somewhere around 5 or 6 starters the first several weeks, one for sure was the Gardner kid. So hard to judge just how good they are yet. Bremond will bremond, but no doubt Mart is the real McCoy. That region is only tenaha and bremond.

Plus lost starting running back on 2nd play of the game. Still ran the ball 35 times. I just didnt feel like trying to explain all of it. After Tenaha won state in 2011, someone on this website felt the need to list all of the teams that he thought would beat us. We're not very popular here.

I got the interloper blocked so I don't have see his juvenile-listic attempt at making a complete sentence. Where are the Monitors when you need them. I remember someone who was banded in 2011 for a lot less, and was making perfect sense.

Word on the street is that Mt Enterprise has cancelled on Tenaha for homecoming on the 14th. I doubt we will find anyone in time. Perhaps grades got some of the final 13 players they were down to. Its just an all around bad deal. Im not gonna throw mt e under the bus I actually feel bad for them. Like i stated elsewhere just a few years ago they were playing in the regional final. Sent a kid d1 and now cant field a team.

Yeah, it's a shame. Throws a wrench in my HC plans. If my memory serves me correctly, this is a reoccurring problem at ME. It happened around 10 or 15 years back.

Our best chance for finding someone would be a Houston area team that had to miss games due to the hurricane that would be willing to play on their bye week in order to make up for missing those games. I think we could possibly find someone but that would be a long drive for one of those bigger schools to come up here and get their butts beat.

I found a photo of this years team and it looks like they started the season with 31 players. I guess injuries, grades and moves have taken their toll.

Saw where Grapeland gave up 40+ points to Maud. Grapeland Timpson is shaping up to be a great game.

I feel pretty bad for mount... 8 years ago I played against a guy who played Division 1 football... Now they can barely field a team.

I heard they started the season with 31 players. It only takes 11 to play. Theyve lost 20 to injuries? Cmon man. Emo's took over in Overton, looks like in Mt. E too. We are raising a generation of permanent cripples that need "safe spaces" to "cope" with life. No lie, I heard a kid quit football in Overton because of the "stress". Are you kidding me? Wait till he has BILLS TO PAY. Stress? Its a freaking game.

But,....i digress.

Thanks to the Tenaha staff for getting this game together for us, the fans. I appreciate it.

Its more embarrassing to forfeit a game. Then try to finish district. They already know how to lay down and just take it, been doing that for years.

According to the experts, we will most likely be division 1 next go round.

Attempt 16 passes, 6 went for touchdowns. So it begs the question, was WS just really bad or is Tenaha finally getting healthy?

We're a ways from being healthy. Still playing with people out of position. But, a lot of young guys are stepping up. We've got a long way to go. Can't wait for a game where we have to play 4 quarters with starters.

Rush - 166
Rec - 128
KR - 12
PR - 25
IR - 239
Total - 570

Wortham is well coached. Theyve improved dramatically in a short amount of time. If memory serves me, i believe they focused on stopping our screen game and run game last year so CJ threw for 500 yards over the top.

It will be interesting to see how they try to defend us this year. The offensive line is vastly improved and we can honestly say that they have yet to play their best game as a unit. I think we will run it our average of about 30 times.

Offensively I think Wortham is missing a few kids with injuries. Combine that with the fact that our defense is rounding into shape and I feel pretty safe. I dont think they will be able to consistently move the ball.

I plan on going to the first half of this game, then going to the second half of the Timpson/Grapeland game.
