I think the district will finish up like this:
1-Refugio
2-Shiner
3-Yorktown
4-Weimar

If Weimar can give the 3River/La Villa winner a game in round one, and pull off an upset - I would expect all of the D15 reps to be playing in the Area Round. However, I will once again say, Weimar has not panned out to what I thought they would be this year. I heard about 3 Weimar kids quit or were dismissed, right before we played them last week...

Shiner @ Refugio- The game for all of the marbles. Shiner in a 7 point upset. If they fumble give me
Refugio by 14+.

Yorktown @ Ganado- Yorktown beats Ganado here by 28+.

Weimar @ Kenedy- Wildcats by 42+.

Good news in Ganado is all three divisions in Ganado are playing in the super bowl in youth football this weekend.

That is exactly who the kids are that are playing in these super bowls. The 90's and 2000's football players' kids are now in pee wee and jr high.

Ganado football is looking good from 1st grade-10th grade all the way up.

Those were some hard nosed kids back in the day, glad to see some promise for those guys.

Is the system they are running right now good for those type of kids or do they need something new ?

I've seen a lot of two back double tight sets in the past and think they need to spread it out maybe some to be able to run or throw if they have the kids to do it. Instead of the one dimensional running game they've shown lately.

Just curious to what others think ???

They were running the i formation run, run, run. We didn't have the kids for that so current coach Lesak is trying to open it up a little bit. We have tried to pass some but our WR's are capable of catching the ball and making a play. It's been a rough season but the kids still fight hard. There will be a little improvement next year with a big jump for the 2019 season.

District 15-2A, Division I
Shiner Comanches at Refugio Bobcats

Last year: Refugio, 35-0.
Notes: The district championship and top seed in the playoffs will be at stake when Shiner (7-1, 4-0) and Refugio (7-1, 4-0) play for the fifth time. Refugio owns a 3-1 edge and the winner of this game has advanced at least to the quarterfinals. Shiner has won seven straight games. Refugio has won five straight games and is ranked No. 6 in the Class 2A state poll. Shiner's Donyai Taylor has 817 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns and has also intercepted three passes and returned one for a touchdown. Refugio's Jared Kelley has passed for 1,954 yards and an area-leading 28 touchdowns.
Radio: KYKM, 94.3 FM. Internet: texasthunderradio.com.
Twitter: @reycastillo361
Yorktown Wildcats at Ganado Indians

Last year: Yorktown, 48-20.
Notes: Yorktown (5-4, 2-2) would clinch the third-place playoff berth with a win over Ganado (2-5, 1-3). If Kenedy beats Weimar, Ganado could get into the playoffs with a win. In that scenario, Ganado would be the third seed and Yorktown would be the fourth seed.
Weimar Wildcats at Kenedy Lions

Last year: Weimar, 54-26.
Notes: Weimar (2-6, 2-2) and Kenedy (0-9, 0-4) play for the second time. Weimar would clinch a playoff berth with a win. Weimar would be the fourth seed.

GO BIG C !

I think Ganado could do both. I think you just have to have a balance and be multiple in your offense. I can see them running it some and adding some mis-direction to the two back stuff. I can also see them spreading it out some and giving theirselves some room to run or throw. If you keep the base offense in tact while running the spread concepts you won't have to change anything for the offensive line. That's the key I think. Makes it simpler all around.

Refugio / Ben Bolt - Refugio is 8 - 1 overall and 5 - 0 in district. Ben Bolt is 5 - 5 overall and 1 - 3 in district. This is a rematch from last year that was played in Mathis in a downpour. Last year Refugio won this game 36 - 12, against a much better Ben Bolt team. Refugio will win this year by 5 TDs +.

Shiner / Santa Maria - Shiner is 7 - 2 overall and 4 - 1 in district. Santa Maria is 5 - 5 overall and 2 - 2 in district. Shiner wins this game by 5 TDS +.

Yorktown / La Villa - Yorktown is 6 - 3 overall and 3 - 2 in district. La Villa is 4 - 6 over and 3 - 1 in district. Yorktown wins this game by 3 TDS +.

Weimar / Three Rivers - Weimar is 3 - 6 overall and 2 - 3 in district. Three Rivers is 8 - 2 overall and 4 - 0 in district. Weimar wins this game in a close one, 26 - 21.

I think District 15 will sweep District 16 again and move on to the second round.
It's a pretty good day when you're on your way and you like where you're going. And you've got what you want and you want what you've got and you're wise enough to know it.

Refugio / Ben Bolt - Refugio 56-7 Too much firepower.

Shiner / Santa Maria - Shiner in a 42-13 win.

Yorktown / La Villa - Yorktown takes this game 41-14

Weimar / Three Rivers - This should be the closet of the district playoff games. Weimar by 7.

All of that sounds about right to me. I hope Weimar can advance to the second round. As you said, appears to be a close match-up- which is typically rare in the bi-district round.

Three Rivers will win by about 14 points. Three Rivers is playing pretty well and has some decent running backs. For some reason Weimar is just not playing well this season.

I don't know why, they have size and speed. Along with a good coach.

Well Abe, that didn’t happen. I knew Weimar would win. I predicted them by 7. Full sweep of district 16

I thought it was a very respectable and strong showing for our district this weekend. Congrats to Refugio and Yorktown for advancing. Shiner continued to live up to their reputation and tradition, and could very easily still be playing in any other region in the state. Great season to a very young, and dangerously up-and-coming group of Comanches. And in the end, Weimar still had a solid showing in the bracket.
Proud of all the D15 teams.

I do want to thank you Comanche's on your fine season and remember to continue to work hard on this off season and this up coming season you young men will be a force to be dealt with whoever you play. Can't wait for what the next 4 or 5 years for what Shiner has coming up to resent the Comanche nation !

They have ended two District 15 team’s seasons this year, just like they did last year.
