I've had this site on my computer at work for about 7 years now and I figured it was time to join. I graduated from Albany in 1987. After I graduated I moved to NY the spring of 1988 and I've been here ever since. I live in Dansville NY which is about 6 hours from NY city which I have never been to. Denny Faith was my JV coach in Albany and Tommy Dittmar was head coach my senior year and coach Faith took over the following year. I have been here for 30 years now and I still follow Texas football hard core. My parents still live in Moran and have a little restaurant on main street there so I get phone calls from my dad on how Albany is doing. It was nice to see Moran finally win a playoff game also this year. If Albany makes it to the state championship game we may fly down to watch.

Welcome, glad to have you. Dansville is kind of between Buffalo and Syracuse just a little south.

hey guys, My name is Remo Williams and I broadcast for the Mart Panthers...i enjoy the forum and like reading everyones thoughts on the games. I hope to be able to be online and message more often but time tends to be hard to come by. Next year though, i hope to be able to pass along more information through the season. This is my first year with Mart as far as broadcasting them but hope to be with them now for as long as they allow me. Class act program, coaches and town.

Hi everyone! East Texas here. I found out about this forum over at Smoaky.com and thought I would join you, too! My team is the Alto Yellowjackets and we are excited about our new head football coach and athletic director, Rickey Meeks. Coach Meeks started this week and everyone is pumped about what he is doing with the players, including his work ethic and overall leadership. Looking forward to getting his system in place and being in the statewide conversation again REALLY SOON. We have represented Region 3 well over the years and feel like we will be back in the mix with a good group of returning juniors and seniors, as well as a strong group of young men from the JV, 8th and 7th grade teams (MS undefeated) who are talented and athletic. We think all the pieces are in place to make a run the next several years. Realignment put us in District 10-2A Division 1 with these schools (scores from the last time we played in parentheses):

DISTRICT 10-2A DIV 1:
Alto
Big Sandy (2017 Win 61-40)
Carlisle (2017 Win 31-28)
Cushing (2017 Win 37-6)
Hawkins (2008 Win 41-14)
Union Grove (2014 Win 47-0)

2018 PRE-DISTRICT SCHEDULE:
8/17 - Overton (scrimmage)
8/24 - Crockett (scrimmage)
8/31 - Palestine Westwood
9/07 - Timpson
9/14 - New Diana
9/21 - Garrison
9/28 - Corrigan-Camden

Playoffs will be against District 9-2A Div 1: Cayuga, Centerville, Crossroads, Leon, Kerens, Normangee.

Excited about the upcoming season and looking forward to much success! GO MEAN STING!
