This is joke. There's not that many teams in 3a that would be ahead of Shiner. Total lack of respect to the State champs that only lost one starter

Then why post the rankings
They base everything on overall record and not who you play ...like an RPI thing they use in college.
Harleton and Bosqueville are the teams to beat regardless of rankings...best talent and playing the best ball at the time...Don't think Windthorst has the pitching to win it all and same with AC....both with good hitters but they don't see the high quality pitching each game. Don't forget about Region 4 Teams...state champs 5 years in a row.

I don't know if I read it wrong or not, but RPI rankings do take in to account WHO you play, and your record against those teams.

Which, its high school sports. Not worth putting that much effort in to a poll that doesn't mean anything.

I have not seen Bosqueville, however, I have seen Harleton, Windthorst and Archer City. Harleton has Randi Caroll Philllps who is a good, playoff experienced pitcher. However, don't short-change Archer City and Windthorst pitching; they are very consistent and move the ball well. While I may give Phillips the edge in the circle, I give Windthorst and Archer City bats the edge offensively and believe their pitchers will keep them in the game.

Of course, all these teams have to get to the show first.

I'd honestly go w/anyone out of Reg. 4 right now until proven otherwise.

not that it has to do w/anything but Bosqueville in baseball was undfeated one yr and ran into an okay AC team and went home, they were ranked 1 or 2 at the time. So rankings really don't matter.

Also, Petrolia has really come on, their 2-6 hitters are solid and a good soph pitcher in Alexander who throws hard w a good rise ball.

As far as pitching, all 3 schools AC, WIndy and Petrolia have really good #1's very effective. I couldn't hit them...LOL.

1-9 you wont' find a tougher hitting line up than Windthorst. All hit,not an easy out on the team to me that's the difference between them and AC and Petrolia, no weak spots in the batting order. They get run production out of the bottom 1/2. Pitching is a toss up.

As far as high quality pitching they have played each other twice each. So they have seen ladies that can spin it.
