Saw on Twitter 110 pitches will be the top limit.

UIL to make pitch count
official - Reqd rest
0-30 pitch 0 days
31-45 pitch 1 days
46-65 pitch 2 days
66-85 pitch 3 days
86-110 pitch 4 days

Its official, effective immediately. That could really hurt some 2A schools. Only way to pitch your #1 both games a week is to only pitch him less than 65 pitches both games. We could see a lot higher scoring baseball games this season. Ha.

Will be interesting to see what we do with our tournament schedule. Belcher likes to play in two 6 games tournaments over a three day period. Don't think we have enough arms to cover especially when one of those tournaments we turn around and have a district game on Tuesday.

I don't know many 2A's that do. This rule really hurts 2A baseball. It forces you to make kids pitch that normally would never even throw BP.

A player is limited to a total of 110 pitches total in a tournament or a playoff series. We probably won't be looking to play 6 games in a tournament! 5 games will not become a stretch for most teams in a 3 day period.
