How does a player make all-tournament by only playing 1/3 of an inning at that position?? (OH ,coaches kid)_

Tread very lightly here, ie Coaches kid .... you are fool to think that had anything to do with it. Kid you are referring to went to 2-3 at the plate with a double. Sounds like someone has some envy issues...

Since he pitches and plays OF/IF, it may have been better to name him a UT all-tournament player; which he did indeed earn IMO.

Nothing to do with envy, great kid & player, just strange to me the position (OF) chosen for all-tournament versus what player did at tournament, which is chosen by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association. Don't know about the 'fool' part of it

Does it make a difference where a kid is "slotted" on the All-Tournament team? I've noticed the same thing on past teams whether it's softball or baseball...it's about recognizing the kids. Not sure what other OF should have been recognized in the tournament.
