And I’m not a huge fan of college football. I just never have been. I absolutely hate the playoff and bowl system. If I was going to side with a team. It would be the Texas Longhorns.

Me and my gf stayed out there last summer for a few nights on Lake Desoto. Beautiful spot! We’re considering stopping in for a couple nights this summer on our way to Missouri.

If I had the money, I'd buy a little lot up there to vacation on 3-4 times a year.

My parents are originally from South Dakota. My father's first assignment out of basic training was Eglin AFB outside of Destin. After I was born they would make the drive back home through Arkansas. They thought it was beautiful and wanted to retire there someday.

Texas Tech

Since there was a lot of talk about Vacation spots i will add a Vacation Destination forum too!

But back at College Football I with they would expand the playoff system actually. Make it more like High School except have only two teams per Division make the playoffs. With one exception... Instead of the same Divisions going at it each year either have a drawing to see which ones go head to head or rank and seed them. Just to make sure Alabama (just an example) doesn't play Texas each year that Alabama is 1 in SEC and Texas is 2 in their conference.

I do have a feeling this will change up the conferences and the SEC will split into East and West along with other conferences with a lot of teams. Might not be a bad thing though. The SEC would still be pulling in the money but as two conferences.

I like the idea of seeding the playoffs. Since there would only be top two from each division then there wouldn't be anyone losing out on the playoffs from not getting enough votes.

I think the next major realignment will be the major conferences creating their own football league. To heck with the NCAA rules on recruiting, NIL etc....

That would be.... Well can't think of a good word. Could you imagine having Leagues. I think Texas would end up in it's own league since from what I heard they wanted all that TV money for themselves. They would have to invite in a few teams to beat up on so they feel good about themselves. I bet their basketball team would vote against having Abilene Christian University in their "League".

Dang, hating on them Longhorns! I mean say what you will about them. They are a big money brand. And super popular. But their sports have been trash since that 2006 national football title. They’ve gotta get back in shape to think they deserve all that TV money still. About like the Cowboys thinking they’ll win every year. And this is coming from a casual UT fan lol.
