Re: Refugio offensive WOES

Awesome i wonder if it is now going to be a battle for QB position? There is some football savy people on here because not sure who it was but someone said pre season that Refugio offense was going to fail and they would have to switch back to some kind of spread. I think there were quite a few peo...

Re: Refugio offensive WOES

Just had a thought, what does Refugio lose this year? Perhaps the offense ran in non-district was a dress rehersal for next year? Just a thought. Just off the top of my head, Refugio loses quite a bit. Before the QB transferred from Gregory Portland, I think that was definitely the case. But with t...

Re: Refugio offensive WOES

Yes. I know for me, This season has gotten a lot more exciting. Shiner and Mason are good teams, and I don’t know if Refugio can beat them, but this offense gives us a better change to do it. Thumbs up to Coach Herring for making a change in the middle of the season.

No doubt, the O-line is the weakest part of Refugio’s team. The strongest part of Refugio’s team is the reciver’s And running backs. In the offense Refugio is in now. Yeah, I think you are right, but I’m not concerned about the Mart game. I’m not concerned about winning district, because Refugio can run anything and win district. In my opinion, it is a no brainer to change to the spread. I mean Refugio will win District and make it to the Shiner game regardless of what offense they run, the veer or the spread. But I don’t think Refugio can beat Shiner running the veer, but the spread gives them a better chance. So why not go...

Re: #2 Shiner vs #2 Goliad

Shiner just needs to be careful comparing the score this week, against the Refugio/Goliad score. I believe that originally, that was the good thing about this game. Shiner could see how they match up against Refugio, since they don’t play each other in District this year. However, the Goliad team th...

Re: #2 Shiner vs #2 Goliad

You got it backwards. Bland, the stud rb, suffered a hamstring injury and is pretty much ruled out. The Qb is who got ejected and will sit out at least a half. They have lots of size also, and a couple of stud receivers. I think the whole key will be how well we defend the pass. Goliad is still a 1...

Goliad’s QB was real impressive in the game against Refugio. If he does not play, that will be a big loss for Goliad. His passing and running killed Refugio. Really, Refugio stopped Goliads run game until The Refugio Defense wore down late in the second half. I can see a Shiner win without Goliad’s ...

Refugio’s bye week is after the Mart game. That would be the most logical time to make a switch, if he is going to. Yeah, I don’t think AP is as good as Tidehaven, so Refugio should win by 5 or 6 TDs, but I really don’t think Refugio will blow many people out.
