Re: D1 District 15 2022
This year will be interesting. Shiner and Refugio must once again battle for district. Add Ganado to the mix and we’ve got some good games on our hands. Kenedy has made a splash in the playoffs the last few years as well. Skidmore-Tynan comes down from 3AD2 and Three Rivers and Bloomington join in ...

Re: How many showed up ?
Refugio has 33 on varsity and 32 on jv. 55 total thats down a bit must be small incoming freshman class. It’s not the Freshman class, it is the Senior class. Talking to a friend of mine who played there and coached there now, there are 12-15 boys in the senior class that don’t play which is very un...

Re: 2020 - 2021 COACHING CHANGES
Change was needed for all parties involved, coaches, kids, board, admin. And a lot of movement has occurred in Hamlin. Wondering if you will elaborate on this part? Seems like Lucas is arguably one of the most successful, if not THE most, in Hamlin history. Why was everyone so eager for change? I k...

Well, looks like the UIL has answered and said it’s okay. Interesting that the UIL says it will be allowed, but that districts can make up their own policy in regards to them being eligible to play if they aren’t going to school in person.

Re: Question for kids who are going to do online learning in 2020 eligiblilty ?
I fall on the other side of the issue I guess. If you’re too afraid of the virus to send your kid to school (completely understandable), then how can you justify letting them play sports at the school — sweating all over each other, breathing on one another, and being in direct contact with dozens o...
